GRADUATION
Saturday, May 17th, 2025 – PNHS Stadium
8:45am Call Time in the BAND ROOM
Have your instrument and music with you. We’ll have a brief rehearsal beforehand.
9:15am Move to Stadium – Have everything with you
10:00am Graduation Ceremony Begins
We perform Pomp and Circumstance about 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony.
11:30pm Done (Pick up by Band Room) – Traffic will be busy for pickup
All Current 9th-11th graders will be expected to perform at graduation. This will be a graded event.
Business Casual Dress: For example, Collared shirt/blouse, tie, slacks (don’t forget a belt), appropriate length skirt, dress socks, dress shoes. Overall, LOOK NICE!
Parking: Student parking is over by the band room, then walk over from there. Parents, you may drop off/pickup. Traffic throughout the parking lot will be busy.
Have water, wear sunscreen, and you may use sunglasses. Have your music in a 3-ring binder with sheet protectors.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: The school will try to run graduation the best it can on Saturday during the scheduled time, it also might be delayed to the evening. If Saturday is rained out, graduation may be on Sunday or even Monday. Be there to the best of your ability. I will text information out as soon as I know it.
MAY BOOSTER MEETING
Our May parent booster meeting will be on Monday, May 12th, at 7:00pm in the PNHS Band Room. All are welcome to attend! Please enter through DOOR P.
MARCHING BAND REHEARSALS (BEGINNING THIS WEEK!)
Marching Band is getting started as we prepare for the summer. The first few rehearsals are for ALL (8th-11th grade) Guard and Percussion members & current 9th-11th Grade Winds.
Rehearsals are May 13th, 15th, & 22nd. Percussion also rehearses on the 20th.
Current 8th grade wind players will join us for the first time on Thursday, May 29th.

PLAINFIELD FEST – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We have the opportunity to earn $3000 for our PNHS Band Booster program by supplying volunteers for Plainfield Fest, June 27th-29th.
“We are aiming for 20 volunteers. Students can volunteer for Carnival Entry Gate or Bounce House Attendant. Adults can volunteer for any position. Spots will fill quickly by community members outside our organization, so please sign up today to put us in the best position to earn that $3000!

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The annual Memorial Day Parade is on Monday, May 26th. Call Time is 9:45am at IJMS, Parade is at 10:30am, and Ceremony is at 11am. Events are over around 11:45am.
